Long Creek Flower Farm
My husband and I began thinking about flower farming when our oldest daughter married in 2020 at our family home. Shortly after, we decided to buy a farm that came with 12 acres of land and an old barn in need of care. Since then, we have been lovingly restoring this former farm land into a flourishing flower farm and homestead.
We have already made so many wonderful and lasting memories at the farm. We couldn’t have been happier or more excited when our second daughter married in 2023 right here on the farm.
Years ago, if you had told my husband, Tim and I, that we would be growing and arranging flowers for weddings and events we never would have believed it!
Before Flowers
Over the past 30 years, I’ve had wonderful opportunities to work in musical theater at Tokyo Disneyland to traveling across the US with a National Musical Theater Tour to teaching dance at Cary Ballet Conservatory and theater at Spiritual Twist Productions.
Whether I’m performing or choreographing, working on set design or directing, creating has always been a passion of mine.
My experience in the performing arts has shaped my approach to floral design, where I see shape and movement, elegance and drama, energy and balance, and strength and grace in the flowers and in the setting they are placed in. Surprisingly, the transition from stage to floral designer has been a natural progression.
Flowers have the remarkable ability to completely transform a room, venue, or church, and they can take a pleasant space and turn it into something extraordinary and breathtaking. They bring beauty, life, and vibrancy through color, texture, and motion creating an inviting and unforgettable day!
Seeing the joy and love in our daughters eyes on their wedding day, has been an honor, and being part of their dream day is a wonderful experience. We truly are blessed.
Last but certainly not least, Tim and I have four amazing children and two sons in laws, who we love to be with every chance we get, and we also have two grandsons who we completely adore!
When we have the honor of being welcomed into our couples lives, each bride and groom that we work with become like family to us. We count that as a blessing and we hope that you feel the same!
We are now in our 5th year of growing specialty cut flowers, and we are expanding and trialing new flowers each year. We continue to grow and learn together and we’re grateful to be in this season with you!
